When the first cellphones came out, people could not have predicted their growth. Their evolution is difficult to track – from a simple device back in the day that allowed you to speak with people to the 1full-blown multimedia machines they are today. Now we can video-chat, watch videos, bank, etc. They have become more interactive than ever, with touch technology, projector technology etc., being incorporated into their designs every year. Back then, we used to have three or four separate devices to perform many of the things phones do today. An example can be the camera and the radio, all of which have migrated to our phones. Much of our lives have become dependent on the devices. With the increasing amount of features they took on, competition in the market also grew. Apple started out as one of the companies that mass marketed the new generation of ‘smart’ phones – the iPhone, which established them as a frontrunner in the market. Other competitors, such as Samsung, had also grown in recent years, with increasingly fascinating features added on to their new products. As such, people often like to compare the two major brands to each other whenever new products come out from either side. This leaves the customer spoilt for choice, who comes into the store looking for the best in the market, but leaves being confused on what to buy. Every year, both Samsung and Apple release new phones, sometimes with very few features changed and with only enhanced processors and better graphics being added each time. This article will try and compare Apple’s iPhone 6S and Samsung’s Galaxy S7, the newest models so far of each respective company.
