CHRISTOPHER NOLAN NOLAN Written By: Dilshan Marasinghe Readers of the Spectrum magazine, the person which you’re about to read of, is not just any ordinary human being, but he is the father of film industries, god of originality and movie directing, all mighty king of the cinema screens; he is the one and only, CHRISTOPHER JONATHAN JAMES NOLAN. For short, simply known as Christopher Nolan. Born on 30th July, 1970 in London, Christopher Nolan is truly a state-of-the-art film director (no doubt about that), and screenwriter who has produced several of the 21st century megahits to ever appear on cinema. A few names of the hits he produced are: Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Interstellar, and so much more which I can’t even begin to pronounce out of my mouth, considering the fact of just how good all of them are. But, if you haven’t watched any of these films at all, trust me, stop reading this article and go watch it now before the day you die. Once you do, you are going to have the time of your life and you’ll be going to start thinking to yourself, ‘What have I been doing with my life all this time? How come I never watched any these movies before??’ Yes, you will be thinking that; that’s a 100% guarantee my friend. Christopher Nolan began creating films as a child at the age of 7, During his time of growing up, he travelled between London and Chicago; his mother being from America and his father from Britain. Eventually, he attended the University College of London, where he studied English literature and most importantly, joined the school’s film society, giving birth to his superior film career. Before he began his journey of producing world-famous movies, he also produced shorts such as: Tarantula, Larceny, and Doodlebug.
