INAUGURAL EDITION RELEASE OF WHO’S WHO IN BLACK RALEIGH
& DURHAM INCLUDES POWERHOUSE HONOREES
RALEIGH, NC - Who’s Who Publishing, a subsidiary of Real Times Media, unveiled the
inaugural edition of its Who’s Who in Black Raleigh & Durham on April 10th on the campus
of Shaw University. This first book, with the forward by Andrea Harris, highlights some of
the areas brightest and best…local living legends, entrepreneurs, and other community
leaders are also honored in the first ever Who’s Who publication that is devoted to telling
intriguing and inspiring stories of African Americans who are achieving. In attendance
were some of those featured in the Interesting Personalities section (seated L-R) E’Vonne
Coleman-Cook, COO- Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau & Raleigh Police Chief
Cassandra Deck-Brown; (standing L-R) Shaw University Acting President Gaddis Faulcon,

VISITS DURHAM BRIDGESCAPE
ACADEMY
In partnership with the Durham Public
Schools, the Magic Johnson Bridgescape
Academy is offered through a strategic
alliance between Magic Johnson Enterprises
and Edison Learning. The program offers
students a unique learning experience outside
the traditional classroom setting, including
online learning and one-on-one and small
group instruction. During Johnson’s visit to
Durham on April 8th, he introduced strategic
“Friends of Magic” program partner One
World Literacy Foundation and promoted
the efforts of “Friends of Magic”, a network
of individuals, foundations and companies whose mission is to provide students who are at risk or
have dropped out the resources and assistance they need to not only graduate high school, but the
opportunity to build their future through educational resources, internships and real world experiences.
