DUKE WINS NATIONAL LACROSSE
CHAMPIONSHIP
For the second time in as many years, Duke Men's Lacrosse team ends their
season on top. Duke repeated their national title campaign, beating Notre
Dame 11-9 on May 26th. Despite several key injuries late in the season, Duke
was led by Senior Attack Jordan Wolf and Sophomore Myles Jones (Pictured
number 15).
TAR HEELS FALL TO LONG BEACH, 12-5
GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- North Carolina saw its season come to an end with a
12-5 loss to Long Beach State June 2nd at McKethan Stadium. Long Beach
State scored twice in the seventh after having two on with one out when the
game was halted late Sunday June 1st due to torrential rain and unplayable
field conditions. The Tar Heels finish 2014 with a 35-27 record and a 13th
straight NCAA regional appearance.
