Giolitto joins Boulder
Boulder Scientific , a US supplier of organometallic compounds and complex synthetic chemistry services , has named Jim Giolitto , hitherto of Entegris , as its new chief commercial officer , reporting to new CEO Rich Preziotti . Giolitti has held roles in the advanced material markets for over two decades .
Condon to Curia
CDMO Curia has named Niall Condon as president of its Manufacturing division after Steve Licther ’ s retirement . He will be responsible for operational delivery of Curia ’ s commercial manufacturing services and products , including APIs and drug product . Condon was previously head of API and OSD manufacturing at drug firm Viatris , which was formed through the merger of Mylan and Upjohn Pfizer .
New CEO for Codexis
Enzyme engineering company Codexis has appointed Dr Stephen Dilly , former CEO of Sierra Oncology , and current board member , as its new president and CEO . John Nicols has retired after leading the firm for a decade to devote more time to his sick wife and the non-profit he chairs , but will remain on the board until the next AGM in June 2023 .
Three new at Piramal
Piramal Pharma has added three members to its board of directors ahead of its the planned de-merger . They are : Peter Stevenson , recently of Pfizer and an expert in contract manufacturing , business operations , supply chain management and operating in complex regulatory environment ; Sridhar Gorthi a corporate lawyer active across many fields ; and Natalie Leitch , a veteran of many pharma companies with particular knowledge of the US generics industry .
Patterson takes over
Lee Paterson has succeeded Professor Steve Allina as CEO of Charnwood
Molecular , a UK-based preclinical discovery CRO . He has extensive experience in the drug discovery sector , most recently at Concept Life Sciences and Covance . Allin had been with the firm since its original spin-out from Loughborough University in 1998 .
Baduel joins Carbogen Amcis
Sector veteran François Baduel , formerly of Axyntis and Siegfried in a 29-year career , has been named VP of business development , sales and marketing at Carbogen Amcis , the Swiss-based pharmaceutical process development and API manufacturing company . He now leads the sales and marketing operations , reporting directly to new CEO Pascal Villemagne , and serves on the company ’ s executive management team .
Lonza names Soler
Lonza has appointed Maria Soler Nunez as the new head of group operations . She also succeeds Stefan Stoffel , who has retired after three decades with the company , as a member of the group executive committee . Soler had worked in quality and operations at Novartis since 2010 , most recently as chief quality officer .
Bush the new CFO
Advanced materials company Momentive Performance Materials has named Bob Bush as its new CFO , with responsibility for all areas of finance . Following two decades in finance in other industries , Bush had been with the company since 2013 and held several finance leadership roles , most recently as treasurer .
