New CEO at Siegfried
Marcel Imwinkelried became CEO of Siegfried on 1 September , with interim CEO Reto Suter resuming his role as CFO . Imwinkelried joined the group in January 2021 as head of three drug product sites in Spain and the US , and became COO for Drug Products in October 2021 . He had previously worked for Novartis from 2005 , rising to be global head of technical operations for solids in 2018 .
Hili to lead Adama
Israel- and China-based crop protection company Adama has named Gaël Hili as its president and CEO , effective from 1 October . Hili succeeds Steve Hawkins , who will become president of Syngenta Crop Protection . He has spent most of his career in crop protection , first with Dow and since 2017 with Syngenta , where his most recent role was head of Europe Syngenta CP and Seeds Field Crops .
Sasol promotes Bruns
South African chemicals firm Sasol has named Walt Bruns as its new CFO in place of Hanré Rossouw , who will remain as executive advisor until 31 October in order to ensure a seamless handover . Bruns has been with the firm for 15 years since joining from Deloitte . The most recent of a variety of roles he had was CFO of Sasol Southern Africa .
Two join Veranova
Veranova has appointed Cécile Maupas ( pictured ) senior VP and chief commercial officer , in charge of business development , marketing , project management , commercial operations and product management . Maupas has a long track record , with past roles at GE Healthcare Life Sciences , Novasep , Pierre Fabre , Sanofi and EuroAPI . The firm has also named Mayya Buffington as VP and chief information officer , leading the IT function .
Change at board level at Air Products
Air Products has formed an 11-member senior management board under chairman and CEO Seifi Ghasemi , who will lead the board . This followed the resignation of Samir Serhan , who had been with the firm for more than seven years , the last four as COO . The company has also confirmed that it is actively seeking a potential successor to Ghasemi .
Airedale names Bevan
Following the retirement of the previous incumbent , Dan Fox , the Airedale Group has appointed Adrian Bevan operations director to steer continued organic growth and future acquisitions . Bevan comes from nuclear industry supplier Urenco Chemplants and has almost 40 years of experience in the chemical industry .
Negron heads LBB growth
LBB Specialties , a North American distributor of speciality chemicals and ingredients , has appointed industry veteran Albit Negron as business development director for life sciences in Puerto Rico and Latin America . This is part of the company ’ s strategic expansion into the regional pharmaceutical , biologics and medical device sectors .
