Alchem Trading is based in Oxfordshire , UK , and supports companies to establish and run sustainable and transparent supply chains . I personally have 15 years ’ experience in the chemical sector , sourcing raw materials and supporting product development globally .
When I set out to work for myself just over a year ago , I made a commitment to myself to support forward-thinking companies , entrepreneurs and creators who wanted to make the world of chemicals a better place for us all .
It ’ s great to do a good deal , yet far more these days , I believe , that ‘ good deal ’ should include transparency , open communication , efficiency and sustainability . For me , I feel we owe it to future generations ( our future customers and employees ) to do this .
That ’ s why I founded Alchem and one of the things I aim to do is to connect clients with innovative , sustainable products that help them and the environment too . Here , I ’ m highlighting three exceptional products I can access for clients and which may be of interest : 1 . Encapsulated Actives - These high-quality encapsulated actives enhance the efficacy and stability of ingredients used in pharmaceuticals , cosmetics and food . The range includes ceramides , retinaldehyde and bakuchiol . Their benefits are multiple and I ’ m proud to be the only approved distributor for the UK and Ireland . 2 . Water-soluble Eggshell Membrane - This is a powerful , natural ingredient rich in collagen and essential nutrients , perfect for anti- ageing and skincare applications . It is also an ‘ upcycled ’ product because it uses waste eggshells which would go to landfill . The manufacturer , Biova , has a host of other sustainability initiatives , which align with my own values . 3 . Huayllabambana seed oil - This is sourced from the Amazon rainforest in Peru and is noted for its high nutrient content , making it suitable for premium skincare formulations . It significantly increases moisture levels and is known for its rich Omega-3 content . In fact , it is the richest source of Omega 3 currently known . It also has potential applications in nutraceuticals .
