Savannah welcomes Chemicals America
Specialty & Agro Chemicals America is back in its usual slot in one of the US ’ s most beautiful cities in June
Specialty & Agro Chemicals America , also known as just Chemicals America , takes place once again in Savannah , Georgia , in late June . As before , the events will be split across the Westin Savannah Resort and the adjacent Savannah Convention Center .
The show seeks to connect suppliers and customers by delivering a lower cost networking opportunity than can be had at exhibitions . It has grown on the back of the ‘ reshoring ’ trend , further strengthened by the advance of new applications involving the hightechnology , high-value end of the market , most of which is served by domestic suppliers .
The exhibitor base is exclusively made up of those with significant manufacturing , service or sales operations based in North America , in the areas of :
• Speciality & fine chemical manufacturing
• Agrochemical actives , intermediates & inerts
• Custom chemical & toll manufacturing
• Chemical toll processing & formulation services
• Chemical packaging materials & services
• Chemical R & D services
• Process equipment , containers & technology
• Distribution , logistics & supply chain services The focus is on products and technologies with specific applications for the agrochemical and speciality chemical manufacturing markets . These include , among many others , crop protection , personal
care , flavours and fragrances , food and beverage , pharmaceuticals and water treatment .
Specialty & Agro Chemicals is based around informal company showcase presentations and over 250 tabletop exhibits , with numerous networking opportunities around cocktail receptions , lunches and breakfasts on the show floor . There are also presentations covering market trends .
Based on feedback from last year ’ s show , the two hours of exhibits have been moved to be alongside the opening afternoon reception on the first day , Tuesday 25 June at 16.00 to 17.30 . The following two days will see the exhibits open from 9.00 to 16.00 , following on from a networking breakfast reception . Lunch is also available to attendees and exhibitors on the show floor each day .
The exhibitor showcase presentations take place in three adjacent rooms on both of the full days . The showcase presentation rate is $ 675 for exhibitors and $ 750 for attendees , on top of the standard badge fee . There are also four general conference sessions taking place in the first level meeting rooms of the Convention Center , as follows :

• Thursday June 27,14.00 : Agrochemical Business Outlook - Global Trade & Regulatory Update , Overview of the ‘ Big Ten ’ & Future of AgChem in North America - Jim DeLisi , president , Fanwood Chemical
• Thursday June 27 , 15.30 : US Contract & Toll Manufacturers Business Review : Looking in the Mirror and Confronting Reality – Is Your Company Well-Run or a Hot Mess ? – panel discussion The exhibition closes with another networking reception from 16.00 to 17.30 on Thursday 27 . However , the organisers expect most attendees to be staying that night . Company and customer / vendor dinners are being planned after the networking reception , plus exhibitor breakdown and meeting rooms are available on the morning of Friday 28 . ●
