Enzymaster : One-stop solution for next generation biocatalysis
Enzymaster provides a one-stop solution for the development and commercialisation of innovative and sustainable enzyme catalysis technologies . Central to the successful identification and development of commercial enzymes are our proprietary platforms : BioEngine ® and BioNavigator ®.
BioEngine ® is our branded directed evolution toolbox with integrated computational enzyme engineering capabilities . BioNavigator ® comprises state-of-the-art methods for computational enzyme identification , in silico activity and selectivity prediction and stability calculation under process conditions . Recently , it has been updated by integrating the AI / machine learning platform EM 2 L-EnzyAI .
Leveraging these core technologies , we offer various CRO-type services , combined with the establishment of complete technology transfer packages and manufacturing collaborations for industries including fine chemicals , pharmaceuticals , food , cosmetics and materials ( Table 1 ).
Our portfolio encompasses enzyme identification , enzyme panel screening , smart enzyme engineering , process development , enzyme preparation by fermentation and biocatalytic manufacturing . In addition to these services , we provide general enzyme kits representing various enzyme classes , as well as customised enzyme kits tailored to individual biotransformation needs ( Figure 1 ).
Enzyme panel screening
Our unique BioNavigator ® toolbox harnesses our extensive in-house panels and metagenomic databases to identify a selection of enzymes tailored to a certain reaction . We then conduct screening of the compiled enzyme selection in our laboratories under your desired final process conditions . Subsequently , we select the best enzymes , characterise them and provide them to you for in-house testing .
Smart enzymedirected evolution
Through iterative cycles of computeraided directed evolution , we engineer enzymes with unmatched performance , customised to your requirements . BioEngine ® integrates comprehensive in silico studies with high sequence coverage and precise experimental screening of enzyme libraries in each round of evolution .
Predicted combinations of critical residues for the enzyme ’ s activity are utilised to design small libraries , which are screened for improved enzyme

variants . Our smart libraries enable the use of comprehensive GC and HPLC analytics , measuring the real reaction components and providing detailed insights into each reaction .
Directed evolution or discovery of new enzymes can also be performed using our AI- and structure-driven BioNavigator ® as purely computational studies , where enzyme powders are provided for in-house testing . Usually , the outcome of these engineering services offers the customer the chance to file new IP on the best enzyme obtained in the studies .
Screening kits
While our core services around enzyme screenings and enzyme evolution yield the best results , some customers may require faster options . Therefore , in addition to screening services , we offer general or customised enzyme kits .
These kits represent the optimal trade-off between the thoroughness , range , and success rate of an enzyme panel screening and the short-term availability of an enzyme kit . This allows our customers in fast-moving markets to react in time while maximising their success rates . ●
