Paris in the springtime
Beauty’ s largest exhibition returns to its spiritual home in April.
In-Cosmetics Global, the world’ s largest trade show of cosmetic ingredients, returns to all three levels of Hall 7 of the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles on 14-16 April. Opening hours are 9.00 to 18.00 on the first two days and 9.00 to 17.00 on the third. Once again, Speciality Chemicals Magazine is among the media partners.
There will be over 1,000 exhibitors, including about 130 first-timers, and 14,000 attendees from across the globe. A full list of exhibitors is on the dedicated website, along with details of the features and educational content.
This year, say the organisers, there will be“ a new focus on wellness and inner beauty”. The new Inner Beauty Zone will highlight the fast-growing‘ nutricosmetics’ landscape, showing innovations in ingestible beauty supplement ingredients. Likewise, the new Taste Bar( 2S150) will enable visitors to experience these concepts in finished product samples.
The expanded Fragrance Zone includes the new Scent Bar( 2K138),“ an immersive hub designed to demonstrate how scent can elevate consumer routines into rituals and enhance product perception and premiumisation”. Both the Scent Bar and The Taste Bar will have awards judged live on-site across the first two days. Also new this year is the Contract Manufacturer Zone, bringing contract manufacturers together in one dedicated space.
The Sustainability Zone( 1C100) offers multiple features: the Display area, presenting initiatives achieved through responsible sourcing and green chemistry; the Forum, with 17 presentations on responsible product design, ingredient lifecycles, microbiome science, product decarbonisation and more; and the Theatre, with 32 more presentations. Also here is the new Upcycling Hub, spotlighting suppliers transforming byproducts into cosmetic ingredients.
The Innovation Zone returns as the showcase for new ingredients, with a record of nearly 250. These will all be contenders for the Best Ingredient Award, presented during the In-Cosmetics Global Awards on the evening of 14 April, along with 16 other categories.
The Testing & Lab Zone also returns, highlighting offerings to ensure the safety, stability and shelf life of personal care products, plus new developments in lab equipment and measuring devices, plus 11 presentations in the Testing & Regulatory Session. The combined Make-Up & Sensory Bar( 2E80) is a boutique-style space showcasing the latest pigment and colour cosmetics technologies with an interactive space to explore the feel, performance and sensorial impact of ingredients and formulations
In all, this year’ s event will have over 230 educational sessions, mostly free to attend, covering scientific research, market intelligence, formulation best practices, sustainability and more. At the Marketing Trends Theatre( 2R190), major companies and consultancies will have 19 papers and panel discussions about the latest cosmetic industry trends, insights and regulations.
The Technical Seminars, spread across four different theatres( 3A130, 3C130, 3M130 and 3P130), comprise 124 presentations from raw material suppliers, providing an overview of their latest developments. The Formulation Lab( 1Q100 and 1N100) is open only to R & D professionals from cosmetic and contract manufacturers and focuses on new formulation techniques, with 18 dedicated presentations
Finally, the three R & D Tours, guided walks to specific stands led by Mibelle Biochemistry, Natura-Tec and Symrise will explore advances in exosomes, longevity and skin sensitivity. Prebooking is recommended. ●
