Introducing Cristiano Capriotti
As global supply chain director , Cristiano Capriotti is responsible for directing and managing the global supply chain of Olon Group ; managing the activities of demand and production planning , sizing and management of the inventories along the whole chain ; direct procurement management and sourcing strategy definition , management of customer service , transportation and logistics ; and ensuring the continuous improvement of the entire supply chain process according to market needs and in compliance with budget , stock and OWC target , quality and corporate guidelines .
His main responsibilities are :
• The demand and production planning process
• Customer service and both inbound and outbound logistics
• Stock and warehouse management
• Direct procurement and global sourcing strategy definition
• Managing Olon ’ s strategic sourcing team in Mumbai and Shanghai to be aligned with the global sourcing strategy
• Improvement of global logistics processes and process quality
• Contracts and logistical third-party management
• Ensuring that risk management procedures and actions on the supply chain process are compliant with corporate standards and the group ’ s risk management and mitigation plan
• Developing the competencies of the supply chain team , managing staff , monitoring performance , mentoring and training , and looking for continuous improvements of structures , quality and results
• Improving the assurance of supply of APIs through alternative source qualification and risk mitigation policies
• Integrating new plant in the global sales and operation planning system , implementing new S & OP processes if necessary .
• Managing the local supply chain team in Spain , India and the US to ensure that it is aligned with corporate standards and strategy
The key competences he has developed during the years working with his team are :
• Demand planning : creation and optimisation of the demand planning process , improving forecast accuracy
• Supply chain and production planning : improvement of the production planning process , SAP MRP implementation and set-up , stock reduction , safety stock optimisation , stock target setting and total lead time reduction
• Strategic planning : long term ( three to five years ) demand planning , capacity planning , new product launch , definition of investment plans , and definition of the product mix for every plant
• Strategic sourcing : total cost analyses , identification of suitable suppliers , development of a sourcing strategy , negotiation with suppliers and implementation of new supply structures ( supply agreement definition )
• New plant integration with the corporate supply chain process
