texture and hair health were evaluated at different time periods during the study .
In evaluating even skin tone improvement , skin tone homogeneity was assessed globally on the subject ’ s face by a dermatologist . A clinical evaluation was carried out initially and after 28 days of product application .
Both times , the same dermatologist examined the skin tone evenness of volunteers using a 0-4 scale ( 0 = less homogeneous , 4 = very homogeneous ). They were not allowed to reference previous scores at post-baseline assessments . The result was that treatment with Xpozuki Biotech Ingredient increased skin tone homogeneity after 28
days of treatment for an improved evenness in skin tone ( Figure 3 ).
Skin texture homogeneity was also evaluated by the morphology analysis of calibrated digital photographic images . The software detected surface texture irregularities and marked these spots in the image .
Then , the perimeter average of the spot relative to the region of interest selected was calculated for each image before and after 28 days . Treatment with Xpozuki Biotech Ingredient improved texture homogeneity , decreasing the perimeter average of the surface texture detected on volunteer ’ s skin ( Figure 4 ).
Finally , with regards to hair , treatment with Xpozuki Biotech
Ingredient was shown to diminish split ends and improve fibre alignment , frizz and volume control . In coming to this conclusion , a hair expert evaluated frizz and volume control using a 0-4 scale on volunteers at the start of the study and after 14 days of product application .
The expert was not allowed to reference previous scores at postbaseline assessments . The treatment reduced hair frizz significantly , while for hair volume control , volunteers with curly and coiled hair ( types 3A-4C ) showed 19.9 % improvement ( Figure 5 ).
Discussion & conclusion
It is widely reported that oxidative stress initiates complex biological
