The heart of Spain ’ s cosmetics industry welcomes back the world ’ s largest personal care ingredients show this year

In-Cosmetics Global returns to one of its perennial locations , Fira Barcelona Gran Via , from 28 to 30 March . Unlike last year ’ s hybrid format , this year the event is fully in-person for the first time since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic .

This show is one of a worldwide series , which , says organiser Reed Exhibitions , “ delivers a multi-channel platform for the industry with access to expert presentations , webinars , videos , podcasts , reports , whitepapers , interviews and blogs ”.
There were 732 exhibitor companies last year in Paris and more are expected this year , including almost all of the major suppliers of ingredients , fragrances , lab equipment , testing and regulatory services .

The visitor profile is said to be :

• Purchasing / buyer – 7 % Dedicated zones on the show floor bring together suppliers from the same sector . The Fragrance Zone unites major fragrance suppliers , while the Lab Zone has the latest in lab equipment and the Testing & Regulation Zone features suppliers in that field . In addition , there are country and regional pavilions representing France , the UK , Brazil , Spain , South Africa , Peru , Tunisia , Indonesia and China .
New for 2023 is the Sustainability Zone , which is described as “ a dedicated zone for companies who can support suppliers and manufacturers in becoming more sustainable . From packaging , distribution , accreditation and labelling and so much more .”
As ever , the show floor will feature a wide array of other side features , notably :
• The Innovation Zone , profiling raw materials that have hit the market within the last six months
• The Sensory Bar , profiling new sensations from fragrances , flavours and textures
• The Make-Up Bar , showcasing innovative pigments and technologies
• Sustainability Corner , an interactive educational area featuring the latest advances in sustainable personal care through ingredient display pods Full details of these and all other side events are on the website . Also returning in-person for the first time since COVID is the Awards event on 28 March at the East Entrance . This will include an evening of live music and refreshments as the winners of this year ’ s are announced .
The show ’ s specialist tours and trails are open to R & D professionals from cosmetics and contract manufacturers only . They comprise a silent tour dedicated to a specific trend prevalent within the industry led by a professional guide , with the themes of Microbiome , Skinification and Biotech . Pre-booking is advised . The self-guided Indie Trial will provide visitors with the details of exhibitors who supply ingredients and support small-scale production .
In-Cosmetics always has had plenty of educational content on the show floor and this year is no exception . A full schedule of topics and speakers is now available on the website . They comprise :
