Danait heads Clariant India
Dr Achala Danait has been named managing director of Clariant India , in addition to her role of leading innovation in Asia Pacific for the Industrial & Consumer Specialties business unit . Danait has 30 years of experience across industry sectors and academia . She joined Clariant in 2013 as head of the regional innovation centre in India .
New role at SK
Anne Kolton has been named as SK Capital ’ s first chief sustainability officer . She most recently held a similar position at the American Chemistry Council . In her new role , she will chair the company sustainability board and lead its sustainability council , reporting to Barry Siadat , co-founder of SK Capital .
Poncet back to Minafin
Minafin has appointed Sébastien Poncet as managing director of the Minakem Generics & New Therapies business unit . Poncet returns to his former employer after eight years at Fareva , the last two as a member of the executive committee . He had previously held sales positions at Solvay , Clariant and Johnson Matthey .
Jensen to Perstorp
Ib Jensen has left his role as CFO of Arxada after three years to take up the same position at Perstorp . He replaces Ulf Berghult , who will leave Perstorp in April . Previous roles had been in finance and IT at companies such as Lonza , Syngenta , Danisco and Lego . Jan Kantowsky will serve as interim CFO of Arxada until a permanent successor is named
Ravi heads Aurigene
India ’ s Dr Reddy ’ s Laboratories has named Akhil Ravi as CEO of its wholly-owned subsidiary Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services , which offers discovery and manufacturing services along the whole pharma value chain . Ravi joined Dr Reddy ’ s in 2018 from McKinsey and has worked as head of strategy for services and APIs , and also headed API sales in Europe .
Poe the new CEO
Robert Poe has joined Olon as CEO of the Olon Ricerca Bioscience division . In his new role , he will be responsible for the company ’ s strategic , financial and operational leadership . Poe previously worked in various leadership roles in business development and operations in bioanalysis , clinical trials and analytical chemistry over his 26-year career in contract pharma .
Kramer to ChemQuest
The ChemQuest Group , a business strategy and external technology development firm focused on speciality chemicals , has added Robert G . Kramer as a director . Kramer has had many roles in manufacturing operations , financial and sales in this sector , most recently as president of Rose Plastic
O ’ Malley leading ECHA
Shay O ’ Malley , currently director of resources , will be ECHA ’ s acting executive director as of 1 April to ensure continuity of operations after Bjorn Hansen ’ s retirement . The agency said that selection and recruitment procedure for the new executive director “ is progressing as planned ” but will not be completed before Hansen leaves on 31 March .
