These include vitamins A , C , E and B5 , sunscreens , anionic heat protection actives , DHA , salicylic acid , AHAs , hyaluronic acid , niacinamide , peptides , ceramides and many more . Texique HE20 is a more efficient rheology modifier than Texique HE10 for the same percentage loading level in water . Texique HE10 is the superior emulsifier , although HE20 is also good , as well as having the better electrolyte tolerance ( Figure 3 ). The two products are compatible with each other and can be used effectively together to provide the emulsification , sensory and thickening properties desired . As mentioned previously the Texique products do not just act as rheology modifiers but can also act as emulsifiers in formulations . As Figure 4 shows , very high levels of oil inclusion in a formulation are possible with a variety of different and commonly used oils . In fact , we have been able to emulsify up to 40 % oil using HE10 . As a formulation example , Texique HE10 was used as the sole rheology modifier and emulsifier at 3 %, with 66.2 % deionised water , 0.8 % preservative and 30 % macadamia oil . This shows how easy it is to produce high natural index personal care formulations , with minimal ingredients using a simple , energy-efficient

Summary
The two new and patented Texique range of personal care additives are vegan-friendly and Halal-certified . They also have robust pH stability and superb electrolyte resistance , making them compatible with a wide range of actives and a high natural index according to ISO16128 . They are ethylene oxide- , acrylamide- and preservative-free . Being pre-neutralised , they are cold-processable , reducing time and energy costs too . They are multifunctional in that they act as rheology modifiers , emulsifiers and impart sensory properties to formulations . Texique products can be added at any formulation stage , making them a truly versatile addition to a formulator ’ s toolbox . Texique HE10 and HE20 are suited for use in skin care , hair styling , sun protection , body care , male grooming , baby care and more . •
