These facilities should ideally be supported by formula benchmarking , chemical sampling and support with applications , as well as registrations and partnerships with third party specialists . Success at the piloting stage leads to an evaluation of the project by forming a clear understanding of how the manufactured product and the contract manufacturing process have performed . This stage is driven primarily by customer feedback , with the objective of delivering a detailed and fully comprehensive review of all aspects of the project , including formula , application performance , raw material assessment and production processes , so that the CMO can identify and achieve improvements for the customer . The final phase sees the delivery of the end product , but the beginning of its journey to its end application . By working closely with the customer , we would continue to monitor and improve production techniques , service levels and delivery timescales to encourage long-term relationships .
Distribution
Once the contract manufacturing ( CM ) process is complete , distribution is the final piece of the jigsaw . Whilst having access to an in-house , privately owned fleet of distribution vehicles does not aid in the completion of the actual contract manufacturing , it does add to the efficiency of taking a product to market for a customer . Time is precious with any CM project because revenue generation for the customer is paused while their product is in development . It is crucial , therefore , that once a product has been produced , it is distributed quickly . This is clearly easier to facilitate through a privately owned fleet . There are many advantages to using a single service provider who offers a complete package , as opposed to using multiple vendors . The whole process is simpler and more streamlined , and the various areas of expertise can work more closely together . When Airedale has been unable to supply every stage of a CM project , due to there being specific production processes that are not possible with the equipment we have , or chemicals that do not fall under our COMAH limit because they are too flammable , toxic or volatile , we have developed ‣
