Specialty & Custom Chemicals is back in a new location this March . We take a look ahead

The Specialty & Custom Chemicals Show , now owned and organised by SOCMA , takes place in a new city this year , Nashville , Tennessee , on 1-3 March . It had formerly taken place in Fort Worth , Texas . The location is the J . W . Marriott Nashville Hotel in the Arts District , not far from the heart of America ’ s country music capital .

Like its former sister show , Specialty & Agro Chemicals America , the Specialty & Custom Chemicals Show is based around small , no-frills tabletop booths and multiple networking opportunities . To qualify for an exhibit , sponsorship or meeting room , companies must have significant chemical manufacturing , service or sales operations based within North America and / or be a SOCMA member in good standing .
A full list of exhibitors is available on the dedicated show website . According to SOCMA , they represent companies offering North America-based operations for :
• Speciality , fine & industrial chemical manufacturing
• Agrochemical actives , intermediates & inert ingredients
• Custom chemical & toll manufacturing
• Chemical toll processing & formulation services
• Chemical packaging materials & services
• Chemical R & D services
• Chemical process equipment , containers & technology
• Chemical distribution , logistics & supply chain services
Buyers and other participants will consist of purchasing , sourcing , R & D , engineering and process management personnel from many end user markets . These include crop protection , cosmetics and personal care , paints and coatings , pharmaceuticals , flavours and fragrances , biofuels , mining , oilfield , water treatment and others .
Registration begins from 11.00 on Wednesday 1 March in the Griffin Foyer . After the sponsored lunch , the exhibitor showcases take place in the Symphony Ballroom from 13.30 to 16.30 . Exhibitor set-up begins from 16.00 in the Griffin Ballroom . Meanwhile a first-time attendee reception takes place in the
SOCMA Lounge from 16.30-17.30 , followed immediately by the grand opening reception in the Symphony Ballroom until 19.00 .
Thursday 2 March begins with a networking breakfast in the Symphony Ballroom , alongside the first general session from 8.00 to 9.00 . The second takes place from 10.00 to 11.00 in the same location , while the exhibits themselves will be open from 9.30 to 17.30 . The day ends with the main networking reception back in the Griffin Ballroom unti 19.00
Similarly , Friday 3 March sees an attendee networking breakfast from 7.30 to 9.00 , followed by the third and last general session in the same location until 10.00 . The exhibits are open from 8.00 to 13.00 . The event concludes with lunch at 13.00 and exhibitor breakdown during the afternoon .
Registration for the full event costs $ 460-495 depending on the date when you register and costs slightly more for non-members . The fee includes full access to all the aforementioned events and networking breaks , plus an online matchmaking portal to connect with other attendees and set up meetings prior to the show .
