ZAFFERANI GLAS

From the experience of 600 machines to a new technological platform

The field-proven maturity of the AZV family paves the way for the AZV MILL 1600, two patents dedicated to large notches, and an industrial model combining glass, stone and porcelain stoneware

For Zafferani Glas, the nearly 600 AZV MILL machines installed worldwide represent a technical asset that has had a direct impact on the quality of the solutions developed and on the strategic direction taken by the company. A figure that represents hundreds of installations, thousands of working hours and a continuous flow of information coming directly from the field. It is on this solid foundation that the AZV MILL 1000 has now reached a high level of reliability and design quality, becoming a mature and well-established machine. It is no coincidence that the AZV MILL 1000 continues to be manufactured and marketed, confirming itself as a solution highly appreciated by the market.“ It is a machine that continues to give us great satisfaction,” explains Andrea Zafferani,“ both in terms of performance and customer feedback. For this reason, we have never considered replacing it, but rather comple- menting it with new solutions.” It is from this technical maturity that the evolution of the product range takes shape. On one side, the development of two patents dedicated to the management of large notches; on the other, the design of the new AZV MILL 1600, which today joins the AZV MILL 1000 as a co-protagonist of a broader technological platform. The AZV MILL 1600 was born from the experience accumulated in the field. A machine that, thanks to its versatility and ease of use, has been able to compete directly with large machining centres, while offering a different approach: less management complexity, greater operational immediacy and a reduced learning curve for the operator.“ The strength of the AZV MILL 1600,” highlights Zafferani,“ does not only lie in its dimensions or performance, but in its ability to be used easily even for complex machining operations.” Alongside the new machine, Zafferani Glas has developed two patented solutions addressing one of the most critical phases in glass processing: large notches. The first patent
