COMPANY PROFILE
500 hours. The equivalent of 66 working days of energy paid for and never turned into glass.*
Where Mappi makes the difference Mappi furnaces are designed for continuous loading across different glass batches, without stopping between one production run and the next. Full convection across the entire range, including compact models, works with precise multizone heating control. Each area of the heating chamber is managed independently, allowing the furnace to adapt to the glass being processed instead of requiring the entire process to be reset after every change. The result is a line that remains close to the physical efficiency limit not only in controlled tests, but in the reality of daily mixed production. Energy goes into the glass, not into waiting. This approach also matters
Mappi, a company of the Voilàp Group, designs and manufactures advanced glass tempering furnaces for efficient, flexible production. Drawing on more than thirty years of field research, Mappi combines full-convection technology, precise multizone heating control and continuous processing across different glass types, thicknesses and coatings. Its solutions are engineered to deliver uniform quality, reduce energy waste and perform reliably in the demanding reality of mixed production, including thin Low-E glass. Guided by the Voilàp Group’ s life-cycle approach, Mappi develops furnaces not only around their purchase price, but around the value and operating efficiency they generate throughout their working life.
when processing Low-E glass. Because Low-E coatings reflect infrared radiation, they make uniform heating more difficult and can increase both cycle time and energy use. Mappi’ s full-convection technology enables efficient, even heating across the full furnace range, including thin Low-E glass below 4 mm.
Efficiency is the investment

A tempering furnace is not simply a purchase; it is an asset expected to operate for at least fifteen years. Over that period, its energy consumption can exceed the purchase price many times over. A line that operates even a few percentage points closer to the physical efficiency floor— and avoids idle consumption between loads— compounds its savings across every cycle, every shift and every fluctuation in the energy market. The decisive question is therefore not only what a furnace costs on the day it is purchased, but what it will cost to run, hour after hour, for the next fifteen years. At Mappi, that is the question our furnaces are engineered to answer.
