Air Flow Energy Recovery Glass Company has recently filed a patent application that aims to make the glass tempering process more and more energy-sustainable . This new system exploits the energy released by the flow of air entering the fan cabin and leaving the cooling area of tempering furnaces through the use of mini-wind turbines housed in special ducts to generate energy that can be stored and used in the event of power failures . This system not only provides a backup energy source , but also saves and uses the stored energy efficiently .
