Bovone ’ s integrated robotic system at glasstec

This year ’ s Glasstec will be an opportunity for Bovone to celebrate the important milestone of 70 years : a long tradition of excellence and innovation

The evolutive rebranding with which the company started this 2024 tells precisely how Bovone ’ s excellence goes in the direction of innovation without forgetting the solidity of tradition . At Glasstec , the Ovada-based company will present in demo mode the latest configura- tion of BRS , the multi-axis robotic system for edging and polishing : the system includes an anthropomorphic robotic arm that moves on 7 axes , a straight edging machine , two storage units for glass panels , and is integrated with the optional BVR vertical washing machine in parallel mode . The articulated robotic arm with six degrees allowing it complex movements in three dimensions is now enriched with the seventh axis that increases its operational range . Added to the pluses of BRS ’ s robotic automation - increased productivity ; reduced operating costs ; very high precision and end-product quality ; production flexibility ; customizable ; safety - are all the benefits of the seventh axis :

• Increased reach : allows the robot to cover a larger work area by moving along the track .
• Optimized layout and dimensions : an optimized system that has the ability to operate in extremely small spaces . The layout can be modified and optimized to meet customers ’ specific needs .
• Flexibility : thanks to the seven-axis synergy , which adds an extra level of mobility , the robot can access multiple workstations or machines within the production plant . The ability to add a vertical washer , either in line with the
