minimum consumption . Mappi furnaces guarantee up to 35 % energy savings compared to traditional furnaces . Try to think what it means -35% every day , for at least 10 years and you will understand why the glassworks of the future needs to be smarter . The third point is “ more quality ”. Customers are increasingly demanding , and are more and more able to recognize an excellent product , and more and more we see that those who want to excel on the market are able not only to respond to the requests for quality , but even to exceed them . The tempering of low-e , ultra-thin or even laminated glass , requires furnaces to rely on , just like those that Mappi designs and builds . All this translates into the fourth , and perhaps most important , of the “ must ” that we said before : “ more opportunities ”. A glassmaker is an entrepreneur , and like any entrepreneur , he recognizes that he has a highly competitive market ahead of him . Take for example Supertemper , the solution designed by Mappi to allow the
Since 1993 Mappi has been designing and manufacturing high quality tempering systems for the glass industry . Mappi relies on in-house production for each individual product : this allows customers to have complete control over each component , ensuring top quality , performance and reliability levels . These user-friendly machines are designed to minimize downtime in shutdown and restart procedures , and ensure impeccable glass quality and great energy savings . Mappi designs and manufactures furnaces in different sizes which share however the same innovations and features : bot the ATS 4.0 and the Fox furnaces ensure the same quality levels , which are even higher than those required by the strictest standards .

No more specific machines , but multitasking machines which above all allow the glassmakerentrepreneur to be able to seize all the opportunities that the market offers , providing quality and production flexibility precisely in the sectors in which the price margins are greater . There is one last aspect that characterizes the future , not only of the glassworks but of the entire production system : sustainability . Today many talk about sustainability as something “ that is planned ”, “ our primary goal ”. So we asked Nancy Mammaro , CEO of Mappi , about the Company ’ s approach to this issue . “ At Mappi we believe that both the protection of the environment and the responsible use of energy are serious problems , not unpredictable emergencies . For years we have been producing zero waste tempering furnaces . Zero waste means minimizing all situations in which the furnace is turned on , consumes energy , but does not produce anything . Zero waste means making sure that the internal temperatures of the furnace , both in the heating phase and the subsequent cooling , remain inside , that there is no dispersion .” Nancy Mammaro concluded : “ We have been working for years with three clear goals in mind : making the life of glassmakers easier and more profitable ; creating machines that constantly guarantee top quality glass ; giving our contribution to a production model that respects the environment and is the enemy of waste .”
