New machine for the processing of jumbo glass sheets

Rollmac , a division of Gemata Spa specialising in the production of glass processing equipment , presents the new Jumboglass 3400 machine

Jumboglass 3400 is the reverse roller technology for the continuous painting and enamelling of jumbo glass sheets , i . e . large sheets to be used for structural glazing and outdoor construction projects ( such as , for example , the cladding of skyscraper walls ). It is a technology with a tubular structure in welded steel , with unparalleled torsional resistance , offering the possibility of processing even larger glass sheets by expanding the width of the table . This technology has been developed by the company ’ s en- gineers following detailed analysis and checks on the working life cycle of smaller machine models of the Rollmac range .

The new design features a reverse engraved roller with a maximum operating width of 3,300 mm and sheet thicknesses from 2 to 19 mm : finally , the coating layer can be adjusted from 50 g / m ² up to 350 g / m ² ( from 30 to 220 microns ) in a single pass . As with all the Rollmac machines , Jumboglass 3400 features an anti-dripping device that guarantees uniform and accurate surface coating , avoiding the accumulation of paint deposit on the entry and exit edges of the glass sheet .
