NEW THT SYSTEM FOR TURNING There is also great excitement around the new THT modular system, a true jewel of Italian mechanics. Based on the innovative patented HT trilobal coupling, the system allows the creation of extremely versatile turning tools thanks to the possibility of combining different toolholder types( HSK, PSC, VDI) with interchangeable heads. The rigid and play-free connection allowed by the central tie rod ensures top performance even in the most complex and demanding machining operations. With a single base body it is possible to perform machining tasks ranging from heavy roughing to precision finishing, using both positive and negative ISO insertts. The THT system, tested under severe operating conditions, guarantees extreme rigidity during chip removal as well as high cutting parameters with high feed rates and depths of cut. The result is a significant reduction in machining times and an improvement in the overall cost-effectiveness of the process.
