The main food tent at Cranberry Fest is managed by three nonprofit service groups — the Eagle River Rotary Club, the Greater Eagle River Tennis Association and the Eagle River Area Jaycees. In addition to soup, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks for lunch, a pancake breakfast will be served both Saturday and Sunday mornings, Oct. 5-6. The pancake breakfast has been popular for vendors staying on the grounds as well as early morning festivalgoers. Hungry customers will enjoy their choice of regular or cranberry pancakes, pork sausage and a drink for a cost of $6. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. both mornings. Office: 715-479-4451 Studio Line: 715-479-3292 CRAFTS GALORE — More than 300 crafters will have displays at the Vilas County Fairgrounds and Riverside Park. —NEWS-REVIEW PHOTO No pets/animals allowed at Vilas County Fairgrounds Cranberry Festival organizers remind visitors that pets/animals are not allowed on the Vilas County Fairgrounds, according to the Parks and Recreation Chapter 19.08 Animals Ordinance. “This ordinance will be enforced by event organizers and area law enforcement. You will be asked to leave the grounds immediately and could be fined, so please leave your animals at home where they are safe and happy,” said a festival spokesperson. Ordinance 19.08 Animals states: (1) Pets. No person shall allow pets to enter any public building, swimming beach, picnic grounds, boat landing or playground, or run at large at any time on lands designated in this chapter. In addition, pets are not allowed at Oldenburg Sports Park or on the following Vilas County properties all located within the city of Eagle River: All vendor/exhibitor areas and food concessionaire areas located on the Vilas County Fairgrounds, Riverside Park, the Fran Richter Memorial Softball Fields or Eagle River Tennis Courts. In areas where permitted, pets shall be kept on a leash no more than 8 feet long. All pets shall be effectively restrained or under the owner’s control at all times. No person shall allow his pet to deprive or disrupt another’s enjoyment or use of an area.
