Twenty five years ago Lyn and Martin Daniels adopted a beautiful Special Miracle. He was 15 months old at the time and was born with a multitude of health problems that required life saving surgeries.
He suffered with severe croup, which caused him to stop breathing at one point.
He would get asthma if he got a cold, he needed surgery to fix a severe reflux condition. He required surgery to fix his squint, and he had his tonsils removed because he suffered from sleep apnoea.
A few years ago he developed Endocarditis, which is an infection of the inner lining of the heart. He also has a VSD and had to have a PIC line inserted and antibiotics administered straight into his heart for six weeks.
Finally he developed Mastoiditis and had to have the mastoid bone surgically removed. Mastoiditis is an infection of the mastoid bone of the skull. The mastoid is located just behind the ear.
He is such a true miracle and a hero.
Bryn is now 26 years old, resides in Australia and works four days a week.
He gets up at 6AM by himself, gets ready for work and leaves home at 7AM. He then proceeds to catch a bus, a train and another bus to get to work. He does all this independently and comes home the same way.
He is a seasoned traveller and has been to Europe many times. He has also travelled to the United States with his family.
