Zoe Murieh Urness

Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Zoe Marieh Urness (Tlingit/Cherokee), photographer and documentarian, is pleased to announce a project to preserve Alaska Native American language and culture, Native Americans: Keeping the Tradition Alive.

The project is being funded by a Kickstarter campaign. Through crowdfunding, Urness hopes to engage colleagues, friends and the public at large to support this urgent project. Urness has until May 26th to raise $5,500. If she doesn’t raise the full amount by then, the monies donated up to now will be returned, and the project will be put on hold, indefinitely. Interested parties are encouraged to make a donation of any amount at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/traditions/native-americans-keeping-the-traditions-alive
