But in addition to this the magician at each property shares in the sales of products to the guests who have seen them perform . Most importantly , the sales are done by the on site Venue Producer so the magician-in-residence does not reduce their performing cache by being reduced to a pitch man after their show . All sales are handled by HOTEL MAGIC , LLC emcee ’ s / producers . If the performing magician has their own DVD , HOTEL MAGIC , LLC will actually sell that for the magician , and without any deduc- tion or charge to him or her ! This is a most welcome and elegant solution .

But - the totally new and unique program created by Jonathan is offering the resident magician the opportunity to provide Zoom lessons by the half hour to visitors , and in-person lessons for guests , staying at the hotel !

In fact if they wanted to work about a half their daytimes doing classes from their room or poolside during their residence they would increase their income on top of the $ 12,000 performing , by over $ 4,000 additional dollars . Having taught magic before , I can attest to the fact that teaching makes us all better . Nothing like spending half an hour with someone teaching a double lift or a retention vanish to perfect your own technique . In short , this option brings monthly pay to our magicians up to $ 16,000 or more a month while giving them meaningful connections , potential show bookings of their own through those connections , and practice time they get paid for with the very guests they entertained !”
Magicians can opt in to this or not . It ’ s their choice . Each show offers the guests the ability to purchase lessons and the magician at each hotel has the first right to do the teaching and earn even more income ! If the magician does not want to do this , or if they opted in for a certain number of lessons each day and have filled up , the HOTEL MAGIC , LLC team has magicians on retainer who will take over and provide the teaching via Zoom from all over the world . A syllabus is provided to the magicians with the minimum training needed , starting with a French Drop and moving up to more exciting work with cards , coins , sponge balls etc . But each magician is free to alter , augment and even ignore the lesson plans and “ go their own way .” This is an example of having a businessman running a program who “ gets ” how magicians think and feel , having been one himself .
