Jacquelyn E. Nixon is a true "Hidden Figure," working tirelessly to raise awareness that radon exposure can lead to lung cancer, advance radon reduction policies, and help prevent radon-induced lung cancer. When Jackie found out that her lung cancer was due to radon, she was told that there was nothing she could do about it. But Jackie refused to believe it, and subsequently built an international awareness publication off of one, "NO." Jackie is unstoppable as she mentors advocates as well as works to educate the public and private sectors about the hazards of living, working, and attending school in environments with elevated levels of radon gas. She inspires us to be creative and think about different ways to engage others to prevent people from unnecessary radon exposure.

As the Director of Marketing & Communications for Citizens Radioactive Radon Reduction (CR3) and Publisher of CR3 News Magazine, Jackie brings her personal experience as a two-time Stage 1 Lung Cancer Survivor to her role as a patient advocate and cancer survivor. Her journey, marked by the oversight of a second tumor, fuels her commitment to advocating for others and shaping policies to combat radon-induced lung cancer.

Jackie's influence extends far beyond her professional roles. She serves as the Pennsylvania State Representative for CR3 and as an International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) Patient Research Advocate, dedicated to educating communities about the dangers of radon.

In her role as the developer of the Premier Youth Ambassadors for Radon Reduction (PYA), Jackie nurtures the next generation of advocates, empowering young adults to take proactive measures in radon testing, mitigation, and education. Through mentorship and educational programs, she equips them with the tools to effect change in their communities.

Jackie's diverse educational background, including degrees in Computer Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Art, enriches her advocacy work. She leverages her expertise as the CEO of ROIMarket Media LLC to amplify the message of radon awareness through various channels.

Driven by her personal experience and fueled by her mantra, "There is always something you can do," Jackie's impact transcends borders. Her innovative approach has elevated the conversation around radon and lung cancer globally, reaching audiences across continents through CR3 Magazine and other mediums.

Jackie's dedication to her cause is deeply rooted in her personal journey. Her mission to uncover the truth about radon and empower others to prioritize their health is a testament to her resilience and unwavering determination.

Today, Jackie's message resonates with all who encounter it, inspiring individuals to take proactive steps in safeguarding their health and spreading awareness about the dangers of radon exposure. Through her advocacy and leadership, she continues to make a profound difference in the lives of countless individuals, both nationally and internationally.
