Welcome
Welcome to the Spring 'Special Delivery' issue!
We examine the theme of 'challenges' this time and I don't need to tell you that there are so many related to having babies. Conception, pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding...and on it goes; as my Mum said to me, 'having a child is the hardest thing you will do, but also the best'. There are a host of fascinating and honest articles in this issue by experts/expert mums/mums dealing with the challenges of motherhood. By becoming a member of your local NCT and or a volunteer, it is a wonderful way of creating a supportive community of people going through what you're going through. A problem shared, is a problem halved.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our busy Branch, local parents just like you. There are lots of jobs that can be done from home, on your computer if you are housebound with a baby, on maternity leave and missing your job. If you have no time to offer, you might consider making a one-off payment here or set up a a monthly donation here. It feels great to be supporting parents in their first 1,000 days of parenting through classes, breastfeeding cafés, helplines, coffee meetups, nearly new sales, first aid courses, events and all the vital admin roles that go with these activities.
