learning disabilities. Today Nick Benjamin meets someone who’s

Please introduce yourself...
I am Kamiljit Hair, I am 40 and live in Hounslow
West. I’m involved in Speak Out’s Arts & Crafts
group & the Peer Information Project (PIP). I
am also doing the Weigh2Lose group.
What’s it been like on PIP?
I have enjoyed doing work experience at the
cafe at Ealing Hospital. I helped served tea and
coffee and cold drinks. I serve the customers
and do the washing up! It’s a nice place to
Kamaljit at work in
Ealing Hospital Cafe. work and its very friendly.
Now today... I am talking to you at the Arts
and Crafts group. What do you think of it?
We’ve been making lots of things. Today we
made a bracelet and we have also made paper
flowers. The flower shop down the road has
them in their window! People can see them
Kamaljit with Jackie
