DETAILS, FORMAT AND RULES
CHALLENGE FORMAT
• Run or walk 4.167 kilometres( 100 kilometre challenge) or 4.167 miles( 100 mile challenge) on the hour, every hour, for 24 hours
• The challenge is self-supported
• Seconders / Supporters are permitted
• A cow bell is rung 3 minutes before the start of each lap to alert / awaken Challengers
• A Spartan war cry is played 30 seconds before the start of each loop to get Challengers focussed
• Rewards are available for Challengers if they are brave enough to run a loop wearing a Spartan helmet and / or carrying a Spartan Shield
• If challengers quit or are DQ’ d they are required to ring a bell and then stand to attention while TAPS is played to them on the bagpipes
• Challengers are required to help raise funds for CHOC

CHALLENGE RULES
• Challengers need to be in the starting zone before the Spartan war cry finishes or they will be DQ’ d
• Challengers need to complete each loop within the hour in order to be eligible to start the next loop or they will be DQ’ d
• Challengers may not run more than 4.167 kilometres / 4.167 miles in any hour
• Challengers need to report their loop times to the time keepers at the end of each loop or they will be DQ’ d
• 100 mile challengers are free to change to the 100 kilometre challenge at any stage but will still receive an official DNF – even if they do more than 100 kilometres in total
• The rules will be adhered to without fear or favour – in the true Spartan way
