Why am I putting my body and mind through this? To raise money for charity.
Why am I putting my body and mind through this? With the benefit of hindsight I know one can go a lot further than normal with staged events, as the recovery and refuelling benefits outweigh the disadvantage of needing to warm up for each new lap.
In the marathon, you get separated for hours from your fellow challengers in most cases but at the SBBU you regroup continuously and have a lot of opportunity to engage in encouraging and joyful banter.

Why am I putting my body and mind through this? My PB marathon is at 2 Oceans( before it really turns into a race) so I have to be vigilant that I’ m not getting weak.
