August Recap...
A good crowd of supporters attended the ribbon
cutting for the grand opening of Heidi Lydon’s
Edward Jones location on Wisconsin Street in Sparta.
The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes
Heidi as an active member and was honored to
participate in this event on August 21.
The Chamber’s annual golf outing, held this year on
August 7, was a good success thanks to many volunteers,
generous sponsors, good weather, and a great venue.
Proceeds from the outing help to support all of the
Chambers activities throughout the year.
On August 17, over 900 cyclists rode through Sparta
on their trek from LaCrosse to Green Bay. Most
participants stopped at the Chamber Depot for a
break and enjoyed refreshments from Steph’s Cakes
and Bakes. Ride Across Wisconsin has announced
that they stop in Sparta again in 2020.
The final Concert in the Park was held on August 28.
The Pat Watters Band drew a huge crowd as concert
goers celebrated the completion of the 15th year of
summer concerts in Evans-Bosshard Park. A big
thank you goes out to our 2019 concert sponsors.
