Sparta’s Kriskindlmarkt, the annual European-style outdoor market, is seeking local businesses
and organizations to become a part of the joyful Holiday celebration.
Kriskindlmarkt is in it’s fifth year, growing from an empty lot with woodchip ground cover to a beautiful
well-lit and paved park known as Mueller Square. It has expanded from seven to thirteen chalet-style booths
and from two weekends to three weekends of Holiday cheer starting the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Every effort has been made to keep this family-oriented event affordable for all members of the community.
With all the growth and new additions, the expenses and staffing needs have increased proportionally.
The horse-drawn wagon rides that clippity-clop between Kriskindlmarkt and Holiday Lights play a significant
part in bringing the Holiday cheer to Downtown Sparta. The jingly bells, twinkling lights, and the whinny and
neighs of horses bring joy to so many people of all ages.
We hope you will be a part of that magic.
We are seeking sponsorships of $100 or more to support the horse-drawn wagon effort. Your sponsorship will
be acknowledged in all promotional materials. To properly plan for Kriskindlmarkt, we ask that your pledge
towards the horse-drawn wagons be made as soon as possible.
To make your contribution to the horse-drawn wagons, please mail a check payable to the ‘Sparta Downtown
Cooperative’ and send to the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce at 111 Milwaukee St., Sparta, WI 54656.
