SAYP CA$H
MOB
What is it?
The SAYP CA$H MOB is an event to boost the sales of local retail businesses. Spending $100 in a local
business creates $68 in local economic activity. This quarterly event is a fun way to make a direct
impact and help promote local small businesses.
How can I be involved?
Join the mob: Join the Sparta Area Young Professionals Facebook page and watch for announcements
from the group. Announcements will include the date and time of the next CA$H MOB. Then show up at
the listed place and time to support the selected business and shop local. Please spend at least $10 of
your own money.
Be a Mob Boss: Contact the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce to sponsor a CA$H MOB. Your $150
investment will make a direct impact on the local economy and provide your business with fun, positive
promotion.
How are businesses selected?
Businesses eligible to be selected for a CA$H MOB are non-grocery small business retail stores that
have available tangible items (excluding gift certificates and professional services) in the $20 range.
Businesses eligible must be a member of the Sparta Small Business Cooperative in good standing or a
member of the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce in good standing.
Business must be inside the Sparta city limits.
The eligible businesses will have a business card in the bucket for a drawing. The drawing will be held
before the MOB has finished at its current “target” location. Businesses selected will be notified of their
selection in advance of the MOB to give consent as well as have ample time to prepare for the event.
To find out if your business is eligible to be a “MOB TARGET” contact Erica Culpitt at the Sparta Area
Chamber of Commerce. 269-4123 or stop in at 111 Milwaukee st. Sparta WI 54656.
