Spartans to be featured on episode of “Next Avenue - Community Conversations”.
Rienhard Mueller, Howard Garves, Jim Liska,
Amy Bernath, and Nancy Frazee will appear in an
episode of “Next Avenue - Community
Conversations”, a television show produced by
Milwaukee PBS. The episode will air on June 13
at 7:00 PM and was taped in Sparta on May 14
in front of a live audience at Sparta High School.
Host John McGivern, best known as the host of
“Around the Corner with John McGivern”
returned to Sparta for the taping after having
spent time here to film the Sparta episode of
“Around the Corner” last year. “ Next Avenue”
features engaging conversations that help baby
boomers navigate into the next stages of life. In
the episode filmed in Sparta McGivern
discusses volunteerism as he interviews five
local volunteers who do amazing and fulfilling
volunteer work. While in Sparta for the
filming, McGivern also participated in the
dedication of the new bathroom facilities at
Evans-Bosshard Park, now christened
“Around the Corner Rest Stop”.
