My name is Laura Russell. I am a 2008 graduate of Western Technical College’s Massage Therapy program. In addition to
being a licensed massage therapist, I am a wife and mother. I have 3 beautiful children that give my life drive and purpose. I
have recently added home-school-mom to my resume and I know that it would not be possible without my journey into massage
therapy and self employment.
In 2014, with the love and support of my husband, I made the decision to break away permanently from a traditional 9-5
position as a receptionist in a clinic to work full time at building my dream of becoming a small business owner. With certifications
in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue Therapy, Oncology and Hospice Care massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal
massage and more, and 12 years of hands on experience; it is my goal to provide the highest standards of practice and care
to my clients.
It brings me great joy and satisfaction to provide a united front with Shades Body Studio and More, and The Edge Salon. I
enjoy getting to know each and every one of our clients, and working with the staff of both of these other practices to provide
top notch service and care. It has been a real pleasure working with, and growing with these like-minded women to create a
welcoming and professional atmosphere for everyone involved.
My journey into massage therapy can only be described as God-lead. I was a young adult supporting myself in the service
industry when it was presented to me as an opportunity. I fell back-end-first into the massage therapy program thinking that
it sounded “easy enough”. Little did I know that this program was to turn into a lifelong journey. In my attempt to meet the
social norm of college after high school, I found my passion in massage therapy. I cannot imagine a life that didn’t include
helping people heal, and find clarity, flexibility and mobility on a daily basis. I am truly blessed to have found my calling, and
be able to share my gift with all of you.
