Meet our new Member Services & Events Coordinator
Hello! My name is Erica Culpitt. I was raised in the Melrose-Mindoro School
district but resided in Cataract area and had a Sparta address. I married My
husband, Matt in 2006. We have two sons together as well as two furbabies. We
purchased our home in 2014 and bought it specifically because it was full of
Spartan history and is located right on the Butterfest Parade route. We truly
enjoy Sparta Butterfest and have come to view it as somewhat of a holiday in
our household. I began my professional career at Kwik Trip in Sparta selling
cookies and donuts and have enjoyed working in customer service ever since.
I went on to be a daycare teacher at Young at Heart after my second child was
born. From there I went on to become the assistant director of Therapeutic
Recreation at Morrow Home Community before accepting the Membership
Services and Events Coordinator position at the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce. I also enjoy serving up
wine and creative cocktails at Cork and Barrel once a week. I volunteer on the Sparta Festival committee member
and have helped in coordinating the Butterfest activities for the past two years and taking lead on the kids craft
area. Planning events that will bring joy to those around me is something that I enjoy doing and seeing
everything come together is always fun for me. I enjoy being around people and getting to know their stories
and finding out ways that I can make their day better. When I am not working, I enjoy being outdoors and
most of all being surrounded by water. I enjoy canoeing, kayaking, crafting, and traveling. I am very excited
to be a part if planning events and getting to know everyone that makes this wonderful town a a pretty special
community.
