The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an informational luncheon
for area employers interested in learning about the State’s initiative to encourage tran-
sitioning military personnel and their spouses to live and work in Wisconsin once
they leave the service. The initiative, titled “Mission Wisconsin”, was launched in
2018 and is a joint effort of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the
Wisconsin Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and the Wisconsin Department of Work-
force Development.
Steven Janke, WEDC Military Talent Case Manager, will be the presenter.
Cost for meal and presentation is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for
non-members. Registration by Tuesday, January 7, is required.
