Meet our Board Members! Kristen Gust • President As a passionate and concerned resident of Sparta I feel truly blessed to serve my community by being a board member of the Chamber of Commerce. I am excited about the momentum we have created and I look forward to continuing to host great events and promote tourism in the area. As a small business owner of Cork & Barrel, Wine and Bourbon bar in Sparta, I am also passionate about promoting businesses in our community. We have seen a lot of growth in our downtown and it is incredibly inspiring to see individuals take the leap into small business ownership. In addition to owning and running Cork & Barrel, I work full time at Organic Valley as the Inside Sales Manager for OMC (Organic Meat Company) and volunteer with a few other community organizations. I very much enjoy assisting with the Sparta Half Marathon and Sparta Triathlon, the Boys & Girls Club annual golf outing and House of Shadows. Shobi Nunemacher • Treasurer Shobi entered the staffing world in 2007 when she started in an entry-level role with a National Staffing Firm in Madison, WI. Shobi quickly fell in love with the staffing process and truly enjoyed finding the right fit for her clients and employees alike. She quickly moved up with that organization while attending Madison Area Technical College. After graduation, she applied for and became the Branch Manager. while returning to her “hometown” area. After four years in that role, an opportunity with a smaller, Wisconsin based company presented itself in Sparta, WI where Shobi would be able to continue along the career path she fell in love with After a few years in her new roles, Shobi saw opportunity to open her own business where she could continue providing top-notch service to clients and employees alike and Referral Staffing Solutions (RSS) was formed. RSS is dedicated to taking the time to get to know clients and employees in order to make the best fit for everyone the first time.
