2019 Elroy-Sparta and 400 State Trail Closures
Member Spotlight
In August of 2018, heavy rains and storms caused the temporary closure of Wildcat Moutain State Park and closures of segments along the
Elroy-Sparta, 400 and Hillsboro State Trails. The Department of Natural Resources has been working diligently to reopen the park and trails.
Today, Wildcat Mountain State Park is completely repaired and open to the public. Major repairs still remain on sections of the Elroy-Sparta,
400 and Hillsboro State Trails with some sections to re-open in 2019 and others by 2020.
