Lambs Born as early as December in some parts of Britain, lambs can have a tough time as they adapt to the bad weather. Lambs like playtimes and enjoy climbing! They can even jump, using their back legs to take off into the air. Birds There is a saying in English called “no spring chicken”. If someone isn’t a spring chicken, it means they are no longer young. Yellow chicks from hens remind people of the Sun reappearing after a dark winter. If you have a chance to walk in the countryside by a farm or an estuary, listen out for a lapwing! Like hares, their chicks are born above ground from March and are hidden from predators. Listen to their call which is sounds a bit like a party horn: Embed video: https://vimeo.com/80363548 Buckaroo! SPARK 19
