A Heart With a Story to Tell
Every heart has a story to tell,
For what lives on stronger?
Been stabbed, shattered and stamped upon,
Yet beats to the music of life
If asking for love was a sin,
Then punish me, for my path is paved.
But is it forbidden to hope,
For a day that a smile touches me
Than the whips I’ve known for long?
I asked for no riches
And I seek no fame, yet
Will none share the light
With this flower that I am
For with it, I’m sure
I shall bloom to life
Looked down at my angel,
She didn’t need any wings
With the smile she gave
She was the sun and I, the sun
For I reflected this simple curve
In the end, they said
All things end beautiful
If it doesn’t, its not the end
As I walk down the street, I smile
For none ever lost by giving
