You have collected your race number and you ’ re ready to go ! Here are some guidelines to help you get out on the road safely on Sunday , 23 April 2023 .
Can I collect my race number on the morning of the race ?
There is no Race Pack Collection on the morning of the race . You will not be allowed to start the race if you did not collect your race number from the official Race Pack Collection points prior to the race .
Will there be road closures ?
Please see below road closures and lane restrictions . Please take note of the Road Closures and access controls as this may affect your access to and from the event .
Can I swop my race t-shirt for another size ?
T-shirts will be allocated on a first come , first served basis . Please ensure you indicated your correct size when you entered , as no exchanges will be allowed .

Do I need to wear my race number ?
The race number that you collect at Race Pack Collection must be worn on race day , at all times , and without alteration .

• Place the event race number over the front ASA licence number with the header displaying .

Non-Club Runner
• Display your race number on the front of your t-shirt .
• Display your ASA temporary licence number on the back of your t-shirt .
5km Run / Walk
• Display your race number on the front of your t-shirt .
You may not attach your race number to your running shorts .
You may not transfer your race number and / or timing chip to another runner . Any runner who is found guilty of breaking this rule will be banned from the race for one year , in addition to being disqualified from the current year . This is an important safety measure and in the interests of your safety !

How is my 10km race timed ?
Your timing chip is attached to your race number and linked to your personal profile . Please remember :
• Your chip is not transferable to another runner , as it is personalised for your use only .
• The timing chip is to stay on your race number . Do not attempt to remove it .
• Remember to attach your Race Number to your t-shirt before you leave for the race to prevent them being left at home .
• No chip – no results – no exceptions .
• PLEASE do not wear any other timing chip .
Please note the 5km is not timed .

Where should I park ?
Southbound dual lane closure ( sea side city bound )

• Keep in mind that certain roads will be closed , make sure you familiarize yourself with the road closures before arriving .
• Time your arrival to ensure that you are well in advance of your race start time .
• Parking available at various parking areas near the Race Precinct in Green Point , please refer to parking map .
• Parking is available in the Cape Town Stadium and surrounding parking areas .
• Paid parking is available at the V & A Waterfront .
• There is no parking available in Beach Road .
• Please note that parking is on a first come first served basis .
• Do not leave valuables in your vehicle .
