SHILES ' STORY
Dear Member ,
It has been an amazing summer . Probably not too many folks are calling the last several months amazing , however members and guests have enjoyed the great outdoors playing golf , tennis , bocce or just walking around their neighborhood and for the most part everyone has stayed very healthy .
I am so proud of our team at Spanish Wells for adhering to safety protocols , being creative in providing a safe environment and understanding that all of us still working are truly blessed . I am also very proud of our members for the way they ’ ve adapted and understood that things just are not going to be quite the same . It took a great sense of responsibility and cooperation by everyone involved and I feel we will all be stronger for working together to stay positive , healthy and to still find ways to have FUN .
Speaking of FUN … we are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Welcome Back Party on November 11th . We have a great evening planned for you with amazing food , cocktails of your preference and the magnificent musical stylings of Billy Dean and Dawn . Rest assured our team will have a clean , well designed layout of the room keeping social distancing in mind . The dance floor will be set up and while dancing is encouraged it is also optional . If you feel more comfortable on the dance floor with a mask , then please wear one . Our goal , as for any event at the club , is for everyone to do what they are comfortable with and for each of us to respect the fact that everyone has different comfort levels right now . I think that if we all stay positive , respectful and diligent in our safety practices we can have a great season at the club with FUN had by all .
For those of you just returning , you will see many things the year around members have witnessed throughout the summer . Buildings have been painted , the group fitness room has a face lift including paint and a TV for virtual and hybrid classes , the North Greens renovation is complete and open , the course restrooms have been refurbished , the Bocce awning has been replaced and the surrounding area is being spruced up for the upcoming season , the material has been delivered to re-surface the tennis courts and much more .
