On behalf of SpainLINKED we would like to thank all the organisers for the amazing event that has been the London Olympìcs 2012. The games started with a breathtaking opening ceremony directed by Danny Boyle and featuring music from various decades of the UK´s past. A very original start to a triumphant victory for Team GB - there was EVERYTHING to highlight the most important parts of the history of the UK. From the sweeping video over fields and rivers to the stage of a tree on a hill, continuing into the industrial revolution reminding me of a concert i had seen of Jean Michel Jarre in the late 80s. All the choreography setout perfectly, the powerful music, the making of the olympic rings, the importance of featuring children in the ceremony and the literature of the past like Peter pan and Harry Potter. The settings were enjoyable to see with the house that showed shows and films from the 70s, 80s, 90s and further still.

Noone can ever say we didnt compete well!! Team GB came third in medlas, a total of 65 - 29 Gold, 17 Silver and 19 Bronze medals.
We fought as well as we could and we came out proud and joyous. Cycling, Rowing and Athletics were are main best sports of London 2012.
The closing ceremony was almost as cinematic as the opening one. There was an amazing mix of british music, a mock city setup and the union jack setout for all the athletes to view the closure from. For me the performance of Muse who played the theme song of the olympics on stage.
