Thirty years ago, three visionaries came together to convert the Marbella Quarry into a matchless natural amphitheatre. Their goal? To create a trendsetting international music festival...
Those three visionaries were Alfonso Hohenlohe, Julio Iglesias and Plácido Domingo, who launched this project with a concert in 1983.
This summer, all the essence and soul of an event which was unique from its inception will be reborn in the form of the STARLITE FESTIVAL.
A project that goes beyond the mere concept of music, conceived to become Europe’s flagship social and cultural extravaganza, which will take place in Marbella from 13 July to 14 August.
The festival spans 30 days and involves 14 concerts by top Spanish and international artist, and is the backdrop
to the third edition of the STARLITE GALA, Spain’s leading charity gala, hosted by Antonio Banderas.
And all of this in combination with the very best gastronomy, offered by Paco Roncero’s El Bulli Catering, amid the festive backdrop of the first social village in Spain, Starlite Village, a place where guests will be able to enjoy as many as 150 shows and more than 100 hours of music by top DJs.
