Michelle Silver Biography.

I’m originally from Birmingham. I’ve been a fan of Marilyn Monroe since I was six years old, when I came upon a book of her at the library. I didn’t know who she was but I thought she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. The first movie of hers that I saw was “Niagara” and it’s my all time favorite movie.

I always wanted to perform on the stage from a young age. I was always in the school choir and the school plays. I started modeling for a local camera club when I was 13. I loved it so much and wanted to be a model when I left school. I was bullied terribly at school so I left on my 16th birthday without doing any exams. I applied to local Model Agencies but got turned down for being too curvy.

I worked at a Newsagents, Lingerie shop, 2 days as a waitress, then trained at college to learn computing.

A girlfriend and myself decided to go on a trip to London and go to “Stringfellows” to get discovered. I met my first husband that night. He was 40 years older than me. We went on a date and then a week later I moved in with him in London. He took me to all the London Agencies and Photographers and I got signed up by “Yvonne Paul Model Management”. I did really well with Yvonne Paul and got TV commercials for “Sega Games”, Nissan Car’s” and “Holsten Pils”. I did many TV appearances in show’s such as “Noel’s House Party”, “Jim Davidson’s Generation Game”, “The Fast Show” and “Knowing me, Knowing you”. I did many Calendars and Lingerie Catalogue’s. I always knew modeling was a short career so I did an evening course in Make-up, so that I could be a Make-up Artist when my modeling came to an end.

I enjoyed doing Make-up so I gave up modeling to learn Make-up full-time. I did courses in TV, Film and Special Effect Make-up and Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy. When I finished my courses I started getting regular Make-up work with Photographer “Beverley Goodway” who shot all the Page 3 Girls for “The Sun”. I did Make-up on Jordan, Melinda Messenger, Jo Guest, Tara King (fellow Brummy), Charlie O Neil and many more well known Page 3 Girls.

Unfortunately, my first husband got ill with Prostate Cancer and I gave up work to look after him. Sadly he died in 1998.

My recent hubby was an old friend and he was very supportive to me when my husband died and out of friendship we fell in love.

I worked with my husband in all of his Business’s over the years. We had a Model Agency and a Lingerie Business. My husband had 4 strokes and had to give up the stress of working so we moved to Spain to retire. I got very bored, not working so a friend and myself decided to start doing Make-up and Photography. I came up with the idea of doing “Pin-Up” style Make-Overs and I did a lovely Make-Over for “Hannah Murrey”, from “Talk Radio”, and on many friends.

I met “The Rat Pack Live” one night at “The Polo House”, and I asked them if I could photograph them and they agreed. When they came for the photo shoot, my husband told me to show them my impression of “Marilyn Monroe”. They liked it and said I could sing with

I met “The Rat Pack Live” one night at “The Polo House”, and I asked them if I could photograph them and they agreed. When they came for the photo shoot, my husband told me to show them my impression of “Marilyn Monroe”. They liked it and said I could sing with them at their next show. I’ve worked with them many times and they advised me on what equipment to get and tricks of the trade. We are really good friends with them and their families now.

I hope to be a Marilyn Tribute for many years. I’ve put together my own show and I do many Birthday parties. I’ve sang all over the coast.

I really love being Marilyn. I had really long hair and had to wear a wig at first but it didn’t look real in photos so I cut my hair short to be Marilyn full-time. I found it difficult to buy costumes to fit me (as I’m very curvy) so my hubby bought me a sewing machine and I taught myself to sew. I buy Vintage sewing Patterns from the Internet and make all my own clothes.

I’ve often been called a dumb blonde but in my model days I took an IQ test and I’ve got an IQ of 148.

Things I love: Cats (I’ve got 2), Barbie dolls (I’ve got 100s), Horror Movies.
