It has asserted an enormous significance in the country ’ s economic , social and cultural life , much as the Brooklyn Bridge has in New York and United States of America . The bridge was a private property owned by the austrian György Sina . Every person had to pay before crossing the bridge . A person could pass the bridge for free at the time of his / her marriage .
